Why doesn't this outdoor sconce glare?
The three shades are stacked as reflectors. Light from the bulb hits the underside of each shade and is redirected downward, so the bulb is never in your direct line of sight from normal standing height. You see lit ground, not a bright point.
How far does it stick out from the wall?
It projects 13.2 inches (336 mm) from the wall and stands 9.4 inches (239 mm) tall. The widest shade is 11.1 inches across.
Does it need to be hardwired?
Yes. The Cappello is a hardwired fixture and mounts over a standard outdoor junction box. The 4.8 inch round backplate covers the box. We recommend a licensed electrician for exterior wiring.
What bulb does it take?
It uses a single E14 small screw base. A 2700K warm white LED gives the best result under the reflector shades. See the bulb note below if you are ordering within the US.
What is it made of?
